Salisbury Wedding Photography - Helen and Oliver

Helen and Oli’s wedding was everything I love about intimate celebrations. It was thoughtful, personal and entirely focused on what mattered most to them: celebrating with their closest people.

They chose to marry at Salisbury Registry Office, surrounded by immediate family. Each of their sisters delivered heartfelt readings during the ceremony, and their two young nephews stole the show as the most adorable ring bearers.

Helen looked beautiful in a classic tea-length dress, carrying a blush-toned bouquet full of peonies - simple, elegant and perfectly suited to the relaxed feel of the day. Oli kept things understated too, and together they made such a calm, happy pair.

They weren’t too keen on having their photograph taken (something I hear more often than you might expect!) and so I approached their coverage as I always do: quietly, unobtrusively, and with a documentary focus. They simply wanted the story of their ceremony captured, followed by some relaxed formal photos and a short walk to the “secret garden” tucked behind the council offices.

The weather was hot and bright so we made the most of the shade under the trees, keeping things cool and calm as they shared a quiet moment away from the group. It’s such a peaceful little space, perfect for just the two of them to breathe, pause, and soak it all in.

To round off my time with them, I captured a few final frames as they walked hand-in-hand down the street into Salisbury to rejoin their guests and continue the celebrations.

It was short and sweet but no less special. Helen and Oli, thank you for letting me be a small part of your big day.

Below you will find a small selection of my favourite photos from their day.
