Frequently Asked Questions

+ We Love your style - Can we book you for our wedding?

That’s fantastic! I would love to work with you to capture the story of your special day - the first step will be to ascertain whether I am available. As soon as you have set a date, please get in touch to check my availability and we can arrange a no-obligation meeting to discuss your requirements.

+ How far do you travel?

I predominantly cover weddings within a 50 mile radius of Chippenham but I am very happy to travel further afield. I have covered weddings in London, Manchester and even Ireland. If you are planning an international celebration then I would love to hear from you so that we can discuss your requirements.

+ We hate posing for photographs! Will this be a problem?

Definitely not! Apart from the formal family photos (which can be as many or as few as you choose) you won’t be required to pose for any photos if you don’t want to. That being said, I always encourage you to have a few moments alone, away from your guests which is the perfect time to capture some romantic portraits. These are always relaxed and generally involve giggles rather than awkward smiles. To qualm your nerves, it may be worthwhile considering a pre-wedding shoot so that you know what to expect on the day of the wedding.

+ What happens if you are ill on the day of the wedding?

Should the worst happen, I have built up a network of amazing local photographers and would therefore aim to source an alternative photographer to cover your wedding. I would still aim to edit the images myself so that you would receive images in the "Copper and Blossom" style.

+ Do you carry backup equipment?

Yes! I always carry at least two camera bodies and a variety of lenses just in case the worst happens. Additional batteries and memory cards are in my camera bag as standard!

+ We would like to amend our package - is that possible?

Absolutely - I only ever take on one wedding each day so if you need to extend the coverage you require then that’s no problem. Similarly, if you decide you would like to add extra products to your package, simply let me know.

+ How long will it be before we see our photos?

Your photographs will be ready to view within 6-8 weeks. You will receive the link to the online gallery as soon as the images are available and the USB of images will follow a few days later.

+ How many photographs will we receive?

That depends on the length of coverage you have booked. For a full day of coverage I aim to provide a minimum of 300-400 images but, in reality, there is no limit - you will receive everything I feel is good enough!

+ Do we need to feed you?

If you would like to provide a meal for me then that would be really kind of you (I will never turn down the offer of food!). Normally the easiest time for me to take a break will be once you sit down for your wedding breakfast. Alternatively, I am happy to arrange my own food if you would prefer - please let me know either way so that I can plan accordingly.

+ Do you supply black and white photos?

Yes. During the editing process I will edit most of the images in colour. I feel, however, that some images lend themselves to black and white - as such, I will provide approximately 10% of images in black and white.

+ We have ordered a photobook/album - how does the design process work?

Once you have viewed your edited images, I will ask that you send me a list of your favourite 10-15 photos. I will ensure these are given prominence and then fill the book with as many additional images as I can to tell the story of your day. Once your book or album has been designed, you will have a chance to check the proof before it is sent to be printed.

+ We need to postpone our wedding - what will happen to our booking?

Don’t worry, if I am available on your rearranged date then your booking can simply be transferred. If I am already booked then we can discuss a number of options including me sourcing an associate photographer or reimbursing your money (conditions apply).
