An outdoor ceremony provides an opportunity to immerse yourself in the beautiful grounds (you may even be lucky enough to watch the resident herd of Deer frolicking in the distance) whilst the indoors offers a light-filled space that can be beautifully draped making it perfect for couples who want a laid-back wedding day that still feels special. The Golden Gates - an iconic spot for timeless couple portraits. The staff have a golf buggy on standby ready specifically to whisk couples up to the Golden Gates for their photos.
The tree-lined driveway for natural, unposed moments.
The picturesque cottage next to the Kerry Suite.
The lake at Hole 18 - a short stroll from the Kerry Suite providing an opportunity for romantic photos in the early evening.
Where Do You Recommend for Group Photos at Bowood Hotel?
Bowood offers several areas perfect for group photos without pulling guests away for too long. I always aim to keep group shots quick and stress-free so couples can get back to enjoying their day. In fact, I always request a list of group photos around 6 weeks ahead of your wedding so I can plan how best to fit these into your day.
The best locations for group photos:
The Kerry Suite terrace is the perfect location for both the confetti throw and the group photos. The steps provide a great spot for the largest of the group shots.
The beautiful surroundings offer a great canvas for smaller group shots without straying too far from the drinks and canapés!
Next to the entrance of the Kerry Suite you will find a picturesque cottage. Although confetti is prohibited in this area, it makes a great backdrop for smaller group photos e.g. the wedding party
