Minerva Temple Wedding Photography - Sarah and Charlie

I’d been looking forward to Sarah and Charlie’s wedding for a long time. I love the Minerva Temple in Bath’s Botanical Gardens as a venue - it’s that perfect balance of an intimate venue surrounded by nature.

But what I had been looking forward to most about Sarah and Charlie’s day was all of the personal touches they were including. Yes, their legal ceremony was taking place inside the temple (and it was very emotional and beautiful) but they were also planning a second “ceremony” outside on the lawn where they leant into a number of old wedding traditions. A friend guided the ritual during which they received a four-element blessing, physically “tied the knot”, drank mead and finally “jumped the broom”.

It was such a beautiful, unique and personal celebration and I felt truly honoured to be a part of it.

There’s so much else I would love to talk about - the “Abbey Road” moment we had on the way to the Botanic Gardens, the fact their dog was in attendance, the skittles battle, their AMAZING cake, their Mini exit - but I can’t quite find the right words. I may come back later to add in all of the details but, for the time being, I’ll let the photos do the talking!

Below you will find a small selection of my favourite photos from the day. To view the full gallery, please contact Sarah and Charlie.
