Lucknam Park Wedding Photography - Jenna and Zach

A wedding story isn’t always a packed day filled with exciting moments and lots of people. Sometimes it’s quiet, intimate and incredibly meaningful.

This is how Jenna and Zach’s wedding story unfolded earlier this month.

They’d been in touch towards the start of this year telling me of their plans and asking whether a short photoshoot at Lucknam Park might be possible. After their intimate ceremony their plan was to stay overnight at Lucknam and, as overnight residents, Lucknam were more than happy for them to make the most of the beautiful grounds. Having undertaken similar shoots at Lucknam Park previously, I was able to provide some guidance and offer suggestions for suitable backdrops.

And so the day arrived and with it came the unpredictable weather often associated with April. April showers? It was more like April downpours and hailstorms! I arrived at Lucknam early to scope out the best locations and backdrops. It wasn't long before Jenna and Zach arrived so we were able to start the photoshoot a little early to make the most of the gap in between showers. Luckily we were wrapping up the shoot just as some vicious storm clouds were starting to gather! Talk about good timing!

Understandably, they were a little apprehensive at the start of the shoot having not done anything like this in the past. This is where I like to think I come into my own. My shoots are always relaxed and very low pressure. I make sure to tell my couples what to expect during the shoot and how I want it to be relaxed, natural and fun. My ultimate aim is to put them at ease so they can completely relax in front of the camera. We started with some walking and talking, stopping occasionally so I could make the most of the beautiful backdrops. By the end of the shoot, they were pros, knowing automatically when to glance at each other without any prompting!

Congratulations Jenna and Zach - I really hope the images I managed to capture for you will bring back amazing memories of such a wonderful day.
