Eastington Park Wedding Photography - April and Jason

I’ve known April for a long time - we started out as Brownies together and eventually ended up attending the same Secondary School so I was very excited when she got in touch to ask if I would photograph her Wedding!

Eastington Park in Gloucestershire was a new venue for me so a few months beforehand, I met up with April and Jason to take a look around and talk about what spaces they were hoping to use for their photos. I love how they have such a large space for getting ready and also the extensive grounds offered lots of amazing backdrops.

On the morning of the wedding, I arrived to greet April and her Bridesmaids getting ready in the Bridal Suite. I always love it when the preparations take place at the venue as I was able to step away and capture photos of the cake, flowers, ceremony room and also spend a few minutes with Jason and his ushers.

After an emotional ceremony which included a beautiful performance of “Lava” (from the Pixar short) by their talented friends, we made our way outside for confetti and drinks. This was then followed by the formal group photos before we all headed back inside for the cutting of the cake. April and Jason had chosen to cut the cake before their wedding breakfast as the cake was to be served as dessert (a great way to ensure that the cake definitely gets eaten!).

The rest of the day whizzed by in a blur of couples photos, magic tricks, speeches, frivolity and lots of laughter and, before I knew it, I was saying my goodbyes and leaving them to their party.

It really was a beautiful day and I felt very privileged to be able to document it for them.
