Bowood Hotel Wedding Photography - Amy and Will

Amy and Will were married at Bowood Hotel at the start of April. It was an intimate family affair and I arrived just before the ceremony to start my coverage with the arrival of their guests. it was really lovely to see Amy and Will again after first meeting them (in person at least) at the end of last year for their pre-wedding photoshoot.

After an emotional ceremony I encouraged the guests to head outside for confetti after which I quickly whisked Amy and Will off for some couples portraits whilst it was still dry. It’s always a popular choice for couples to head up to the Golden Gates and today was no different.

Amy was particularly keen to ensure her dress and amazing train were photographed - and I can understand why, just take a look at the photos below! Admittedly it was a little tricky to get the perfect shot because the wind was batting with us the entire time. Thankfully I had Octavia (one of Bowood’s fantastic wedding team) with me so she was able to place the dress back into position whenever the wind whisked the train away!

Returning to the Kerry Suite we managed to fit in all of their requested formal photos (and also squeeze in a couple of extras) whilst the wedding team turned the room around ready for the wedding breakfast. After everyone had taken their seats we were treated to some amusing speeches before the food was served, and before long it was time for the cutting of the cake and the evening disco. Not only were Amy and Will going to be having a first dance, I had also been told to keep an eye out for a Father-Daughter dance. I was especially intrigued when the DJ told me that it was going to be to “Freed From Desire” by Gala. Let’s just say, it didn’t disappoint!
