The Great Tythe Barn Wedding Photography

Are you planning on getting married at The Great Tythe Barn in Tetbury? It is such a lovely venue and I always enjoy photographing weddings that take place there. In fact, over the last few years I have been lucky enough to photograph a number of celebrations at the Barn - from micro-celebrations with just four guests right through to large celebrations which took over the entire site!

Overview

The Great Tythe Barn is located on the outskirts of the beautiful town of Tetbury in the Cotswolds and can be easily reached from Bristol, Bath and London.

The barn itself is an impressive large space which is the main area where wedding celebrations are held. The barn is surrounded by beautiful grounds and, further afield, picturesque countryside. On site you will also find a large house as well as a number of cottages providing a multitude of options for accommodation.

Your Celebration

The Great Tythe Barn is able to offer a number of different options for your ceremony. It can take place inside the main barn or, if the weather is pleasant, outside on the lawn. Whichever option you choose, you are guaranteed a beautiful backdrop. The Wedding breakfast normally takes place inside the main part of the barn where a canopy of fairy lights twinkles above your head.

From a Photographers Point of View

There’s no denying that The Great Tythe Barn boasts a huge number of photographic opportunities. I particularly love the barn itself as a backdrop for the confetti throw and then normally use the lawns for the formal photos. When it comes to couples portraits, I would definitely recommend taking a wander around the beautiful grounds and using all of the amazing backdrops that are on offer. You really are spoilt for choice!
